This week demo show the four parts to setting up a besearch cycle. A peer start by entering a Lifestrap-story. beebee will try and extract key terms and place them in 4 columns, Capacity, Context, Heli and Coherence (once emulations are be). A lifestrap-story is any sentence(s), in the demo a wish to swim for longevity and swim 400IM at age 65 orbits. After submitting to beebee the lifestrap-lines with C C H C will be presented. This start the Interplay. Click on Capacity to start a besearch cycle(s) that will provide knowledge to achieve goal, categorize as prevention, repair or rejuvenation. Next the HOP network will gift basic biology building blocks to start building emulations with, Orgo and Gelle (made up HOP words), that are the Logic of the model and Gelle the texture or shape of the emulation. The HOP network along with machine learning turns a polyhedron shape with an oscillator into a heart and cardiovascular emulation to practice attunement with. What are we trying to achieve with besearch cycles of science? The attunement of health. We need to move away from medicine. Shifting from "taking a pill" to stop a symptom; to "updating the local firmware" to maintain the integrity of the collective intelligence that maintains life and our health. Knowing what the collective intelligence is, starts by understanding a peer heath right now and via 'information as attunement' making it become more in resonance will the body as a whole and the place and people it live along side with.

A way to measure the time based on the angles between earth and the sun, real time or a scientific basis for time. Statistics get superseded to resonance, and consilience comes from stacking network experiment on besearch cycles unified heli clocks that align. No need for time zones either now. This makes easier peer to peer machine learning too.

We have introduced a new term. The Life-Strap this is the main conversation or dialogue between a peer and beebee. From this dialogue we extract and build besearch cycles. I set a goal to swim a 400IM when have been 65 great orbits around the sun. And I swim for longevity. This two short string of words setup many besearch cycles, heart emulation, swim technique, metabolism for each stroke, health of skin due to chlorine, keeping flexibility etc.

Self experimentation meaning making an intervention or change to daily life patterns. These can range from a change in exercise activity food consumed taking a supplement or changing the doze amount or undertaking a therapy or mindfulness meditation etc. We intervene all the time but we can not conduct an AB test with life. Its a teal player game. What we can do pro actively set expectation and notify all other besearch cycles to report any changes. The question is how frequently to check marker? What merits a significant change. Does it persist? Is there a pattern. Given the compute available we have to focus on where existing knowledge suggests and balance that with exploring new metrics? Interventions can be one off or monthly or rest of life. Our challenge is finding the mix the keeps us healthy today and tomorrow.

Summary: 2025 year in review
TINY DEVICES
Polar and Withings devices data exported and upload but not great experience, too much work and does not scale. API call code needs to be completed code and achieve partner status. Debate point: Where does the tiny device path take us? We will not being using external wearables but implanted or hybrid approaches. And there will be key difference: while wearable are currently passive external monitors, the next wearable will be proactive in delivering intervention. The level of trust that needs to be established to be selected to provide the code and information for such an intervention is as high as you can get. If the world is heading down this path then we have to start to build the trust to be that partner. That is while pushing for a white label product in 2026 rather than importing data from any cloud or big tech alternative will be a debate we need to find unite around.

Been thinking about resting heart rate and using that as a use case for besearch evolution. What time period to use to establish a resting heart rate measure? There can be times of day and the length of time over which an average heart rate is taken? Now many measures are put forward and used. Can we show that some measure a better or better in different context and uses? Overall, besearch peer experience has been been explored and 2026 is about making this the default experience in BentoBoxDS.
BentoBoxDS besearch interface is being update to allow peer to view and control besearch cycles. This starts the process connecting all the parts of HOP end to end. For one peer then two then . . . .. A user experience challenge, each BentoBox will also have a besearch section in the modules section. The goal is a demo of all this next week and a new release of BentoBoxDS to gain feedback.

With a base line of data. How does a peer or network of peers decide on an intervention? Given the holistic nature of life, when a new besearch cycle is create or join all existing and even new besearch cycles need to be activated to be at least be aware a new intervention is underway. This number is 0 to 100 and I normally ready 84, during cold this went to 72 and gradually made it way back to 84. Was this just coincidence or cause and effect?

Summary: Two devices, smart scale + fitness / sleep tracker

The Polar Vantage M3 has joined the network. A fitness tacker watch and mobile app and online website to review data. Activity and sleep analysis is extensive in addition to continuous heart monitoring. Data can be downloaded via a cloud link and a bundle of JSON files are made available. The PolarLINK API is also being build out as another way to access data.

The goal is to give peers a computer game like interface on to besearch cycles, different styles and speeds of cycles can be displayed in real time. Cycles overlapping or combined can be displayed like planets circulating the sun. Outcome can change the colors or HOPbees or be clicked to get detail on the biomaker(s) or outcome being pursued.

Summary: accounting for human and machine erros

Third week with Withings scales. It is simple to state, what you are wearing affects the readings. The more clothes worn the heavier the weight reading and generally all other readings are higher, fat up, muscle down. The question is, with the least clothes on is the most accurate reading? Should we tell the AI of these clothing choices at measurement time? Also, had a cold this week, one metric change markedly, just a coincidence?

Summary: first full week of data from Withings smart scale learnings.

Withings smart scale. Data measured using Withings app and then download link provided a set of CSV files to access data, weight, body composition. The more advanced heart ECG data is not included, and it is reserved access to business partners and research entities. Strange given its each peers data but the EU rules set a standard here and Withings applies them.

Thinking out the variables at play. How many measurements to take a day, at what time. Will we try and standardize? Seems unlikely. How to keep motivated to keep up those measurements. The Withings app provide 'good' zone banding. We want to crowd source our own values for such bandings. Withings bases these upon aggregate its app users.

A weight tracking network experiment as been setup using BentoBoxDS library tools. Once other peers want to join they will clone this public contract and sync from the peer network all the knowledge needed, just leaving peers to upload their own csv or API data calls.

Summary: welcome to DIY healthCues community newsletter. Here we will discover how to structure a conversation around starting, building, joining, contributing and evolving a HOP network using healthCues tools, i.e. a branded BentoBoxDS toolkit to the TINY devices that provide sovereign data.
TINY DEVICES
The first device has been chosen, Withings Body Scan and data is being collected. Escape data from withings mobile app. is allowed for cloud API data access or export a download file for excel. We will use these options for now before engaging in a formal partnership process with WIthings where we can build our own mobile apps and save data direct to peers private datastores.

The first task is to assess the data quality and ideally get access to medical grade equipment to compare. Withings publishes their research on this but we should make an independent assessment. 40+ biomarkers claimed but starting with building a cycle for weight will be the starting place before building to body composition and heart etc.

Sharing peer to peer a network experience was achieved early in 2025. But building the flows need to make a meaningful model of health has not been achieved. This requires, real data, range of models and some ability to learn peer to peer. All those parts are coming together to close the year. This is exciting but the reality holds that very few people has downloaded BentoBoxDS and tried to use it. This has to change in 2026.

Polar being worn passively, always gets used except for charging. The Withings scale require proactive choice to measure and over time given the steady state of the measurements then they get used less.

The besearch has life tools that bring a computer game feel to using. Open the life tools to navigate besearch words, cueWorld, Body and Earth. A 'P' peer icon allow you to move around in these spaces and with mouse click, move them around and eventually combine them. First besearch cycle will be a simple daily average heart rate.

Summary: vary data in isolation?

Polar showed clear uptake in skin temperature while down with the flu. Be interesting to see if any leading days should that viral load was building. I was feeling great the day before, swam 400m butterfly.
Stood on the Withings scales in mid flu. Received one of the best vascular heart scores and heart age of 46. I felt 76. Reminds how we need holistic view of data and feelings.
